Food Technology
These 100-minute practical classes allow students to engage in preparation, presentation and evaluation of food products. You can download a copy of the current Semester Recipe Outline here to see what students have been creating.
The products students create are sold back to students and staff through the school canteen to recoup some of the expense for ingredients. Students are not required to pay a levy/surcharge to participate in this elective subject.
A focus on hygiene, OH&S and safety in the kitchen with qualified staff with industry experience is a core value to these classes. We all work in a team environment, around a big table, so we get to know each other quickly in a non-threatening, non-judgemental and very cheerful atmosphere.
