Health and Interpersonal Development
KCHS prioritises health and well-being for our community. Students participate in class activities that focus on developing skills for social interaction and positive civic participation. The Rock and Water program, offers a structured program that focuses on teaching skills for social learning through physical activity. Other topics of focus are safe-sex, sexuality, drugs and alcohol, risk taking, bullying (including cyber-bullying).

The girls are not left out either. They participate in a separate 'girls health' class where they learn about the same issues with a focus on health related issues primarily for girls, ie. teenage pregnancy, contraception, health services available.

The following organisations interact with our students through several workshops and student activities:
People Living with HIV
YSAS (Youth Substance Abuse Services)
