Music

The model for learning in music lessons are structured to provide a course based around practical activities that are both enjoyable and achievable for students studding music at beginners intermediate and advanced level. Hence all theory concepts are supported by practical and performance activities in the same project, allowing students to understand the music in a variety of ways. Listening and aural work is also included; which relates closely to practical performance activities.

In percussion and guitar lessons Students develop the disciplines that are intrinsic to the instrument; recognition and note reading, using correct technique, rhythmic fluency and accuracy. Students ‘are encouraged to perform in various ensemble setting and as soloist. By taking advantage of what has been discovered through performance based strategies the student and the teacher are able to provide specialised instructions.

Furthermore, not only focusing in maturating students to their highest musical potential, the objective here is to engage  and stimulate the students’ interest, guide them towards developing a sound musical taste, motivate further study, and in general, foster the love of music.
