What is STEM?
STEM – science, technology, engineering and mathematics – covers a wide range of disciplines and skills, which are increasingly in demand in our rapidly changing world. STEM skills and knowledge are important for all stages of our learning, jobs and everyday lives.

Robotics
The robotics elective focuses on coding skills, problem solving and creative design solutions. Students use Sphero robotics, Edison robotics and Lego Mindstorms

Sustainability
The sustainability elective allows students to use hands on skills to design and create school gardens. The garden products are used for fresh produce in the canteen at KCHS.

Students are taken on excursions to explore a range of sustainable practices and community gardens in the local area.

Community Partnerships
Kensington Community High School works closely with the following organisations to enhance and explore STEM in the wider community.
